Seeing the punters in the US flock to the polls does not make me think so much of sheep as masses of lemmings.

There is an endearing belief that the vote will change something.
No it won’t.

Look at the two candidates. One has no vision and is told what to think by vested interest. The otherhas no vision and is told what to think by vesed interests.

Business pulls the strings.

Neither Bush nor Kelly can get elected without collecting obscene amounts of money. The money comes from the corporations. Often one corporation gives to both parties. The corporations believe only in themselves … and the system that nurtures them.

The candidates must obey the money-givers or they will get no contributions.

What does the ordinary person contribute to all this? Nothing. You have no money. Your vote goes one of two ways, both of which are decided by money.

America will continue to invade and bomb. The American poor will stay hungry. Rapacious American comapanies will snap up the world’s resources.

The US media will report little or nothing of what is going on.
