Sir Keir Starmer (Sir) in his speech to the Labour Party conference referred to Israeli people held hostage by Hamas as sausages.

Sausages are famously a pork meat product while the consumption of pork is forbidden under Jewish kosher laws.

The association of Jewish people with pork is considered to be grossly insulting, on a par with saying, for example, ‘Keir Starmer represents the ordinary people of this country’.

Starmer seemed unabashed by his inflammatory comments and went on to call for the annihilation of the entire Palestinian people, another group forbidden from eating pork.

Previously, Starmer has accused his predecessor Jeremy Corbyn and the entire Labour party of being antisemitic, depsite there being no evidence that Corbyn or the Labour party had discussed sausages either privately or in public, and definitely not in any conference speeches.  Starmer at the time stated that he himself far prefers to be anti-Muslim like his friends on the Conservative party.

Asked for comment, Starmer’s nanny, Margaret Thatcher, said, ‘Who’s a silly sausage now?’
